Clay, Minerals & Electrolytes FAQs

Clay, Minerals & Electrolytes
︿How important are minerals for our lives?
A mineral is a naturally occurring solid formed through geological processes that have a characteristic chemical composition, a highly ordered atomic structure, and specific physical properties. They are inorganic molecules that are essential for normal metabolism, growth and development, and for the regulation of cell function. Minerals are not made by the body and must be obtained through the diet. Insufficient levels of minerals in the diet lead to deficiency. Minerals are recognized as essential to the construction and performance of thousands of chemical, hormonal and enzymatic processes in the body. Silica, the most essential macro mineral, for example, is required for all connective tissue development. Silica is also required to make other minerals more bio-available.
How do I prepare the clay for ingestion?
One cup of clay equals 48 teaspoons. If you are OK with the somewhat metallic taste of the clay, the powder is the better buy. Just stir a teaspoonful in a cup of water and swirl the clay before drinking it. Add water to what's left on the bottom of the cup, swirl again and drink the rest, or throw the mix into your smoothie or a potted plant. Due to the rich electrolyte content in the Sacred Clay, even though the clay itself may test acidic, it will increase the pH of the body to an alkaline state over time (providing the diet also supports an alkaline balance). Adding the sole (saltwater brine) to the clay will enhance the electrolyte content all the more, and therefore its pH building power.
How do you make a salt sole seawater brine solution?
The use of sole (pronounced sol-lay) in conjunction with the clay provides an abundance of electrolytes and minerals to the body. It is highly therapeutic as a daily program. The best salts to use are Himalayan Salt, Celtic Salt, and Real Salt (from the Salt Lake area), although our preference is the Himalayan Salt. Any full spectrum mineral salt will do, but Epsom's salt is NOT recommended. Epsom's is not a full spectrum mineral salt like the others and is inherently less balanced. The other salts hold 70-84 minerals from the sea, proportioned by Mother Nature Herself, and they can be trusted to be balanced. Fill a pint jar to about 1/3 with a good quality sea salt (Himalayan, Celtic, Real Salt) then fill the rest of the way with quality water. Shake and let stand overnight or until the salt in the jar stops shrinking in appearance. (If the salt disappears, just add more salt). As long as the salt is still visible and it has stopped shrinking, you will have a perfect 26% seawater brine solution (sole). If constipation occurs from detoxing with the clay, a stronger sole and water solution can be consumed. The salt nourishes the body with minerals, adds electrical energy to the body, helps to reduce detox symptoms, and acts as a laxative.
What is Montmorillonite?
Both Montmorillonite and Sacred Clay are members of the Smectite Group. Montmorillonite is derived from the decomposition of lava ash similar to Bentonite but is composed of microscopic, 1-micron particles with a predominance of Sodium, Calcium, Aluminum, and Magnesium. Its small particle size, being more bioavailable, may explain its excellent reputation in the physical healing arena.
What is Bentonite?
Bentonite has had some difficulty in being classified properly due to the varying amounts of other clays that can make up the bulk of a Bentonite (often times containing a high percentage of Montmorillonite, for instance), and the varying nature of its decomposition from a lava ash causing a highly variable mineral makeup. For the most part, there are Sodium Bentonites and Calcium Bentonites. Pascalite is a Calcium Bentonite. Sodium Bentonite is a swelling clay, meaning it absorbs moisture and swells. For this reason, it is generally not a good idea to put a Sodium Bentonite down the drain after a bath in it, since it may clog the drain. Bentonites in general, are also hard on the bowels when taken internally, therefore herbal laxatives and bulking agents are recommended when using a Bentonite for internal detoxification.
What is French Green Clay?
French Green Clay has recently received the most attention lately, due to the research performed by Geologist Lynda Williams, Ph.D. of Arizona State University documenting the antibacterial properties of certain clays. Research in this area is ongoing and more will be published in time regarding her findings with other clays as well. Another spin-off article on Lynda Williams' research is entitled "French Muck".
What is Illite?
Illite is a member of the Clay-Mica Group of clays referred to as a Muscovite and is a main component of shale. It is abundant in potassium. It is commonly found as a component in other clays such as Bentonite & Montmorillonite, adding a potassium twist to those clays. French Green Clay is an Illite Clay.
Sacred Clay
Can I take the Sacred Clay if I am on pharmaceutical drugs?

If you are on pharmaceutical drugs we do not advise taking the Sacred Clay powder or capsules internally. The Sacred Clay is a powerful detoxifier. Watch for the slightest adverse effect, even when taking clay baths or foot baths. The clay will pull all chemicals, heavy metals, radiation, petroleum complexes, and other poisons from the body (the prime ingredients of pharmaceutical drugs).

Since most drugs imbalance the body in their effort to suppress a symptom, the body answers this pressure with a counterbalancing response in an effort to maintain balance or equilibrium. When the clay removes the drugs, the body's counterbalancing response can cause a worsening of the symptoms that the drug was designed to suppress. For example, one on high blood pressure drugs may experience a skyrocketing of their blood pressure; one on antidepressants may experience deeper depressions, even suicidal tendencies - all of this due to the absence of the drug, having left the system before the body could make the adjustment back to normal on its own. It works similar to letting the pressure off of a compressed spring causing it to jump like a Jack-in-the-Box.

It is generally not advised to withdraw from addictive drugs too fast (no faster than 10% per week, or longer if you have been on the drug for years), due to the potentially severe withdrawal reactions that may occur. Get competent professional supervision or advice in all instances. One worthy reference book on the subject is "Your Drug May Be Your Problem: How and Why to Stop Taking Psychiatric Medications" by Peter R. Breggin and David Cohen.

Will the clay remove good nutrition from the body if herbs, vitamins, etc. are taken with the clay?
No. In fact, due to the Sacred Clay's rich amorphous silica content and abundant mineral composition, the clay will actually make minerals and other nutrients more bioavailable. Sacred Clay makes an excellent companion to other natural foods and supplements. In contact with water, amorphous silica forms orthosilicic acids. Orthosilicic acid is the only form of bioavailable silicon known for humans and is required in the formation of collagen, bone density and the use of calcium and other nutrients in the body. In seawater, silicon exists primarily as orthosilicic acid (H4SiO4), Bioavailable orthosilicic acids are recognized as central to slowing or reversing the effects of aging.
Why Can't I use Sacred Clay when I'm taking prescription drugs?
Our concern is the potency of Sacred Clay compared to other clays. Being greater, (possibly a stronger negative polarity), there is a chance of background residuals of drugs will be drawn out of the body, which in some cases are foundational to the effectiveness of the drug. This is especially true of blood pressure drugs and antidepressants and thyroid meds. Reducing the background residuals of these drugs, generally stored in the liver and other organs and glands or tissues could result in a spiking of the previous conditions (unusually high blood pressure or overly depressed condition, irregular thyroid levels, etc.).
Where does your Sacred Clay come from?
Clay and water are the most ancient health remedies of all time for both human and animal. It is our belief that they will be the ultimate remedies of the future as well. The sources for both the Sacred Clay and the Ormalite were discovered within a few miles of Crater Lake, Oregon, long revered by many as a sacred site and prized for its pristine beauty. The Crater Lake essence infuses the silica matrix of the Sacred Clay and Ormalite adding power and mystique to its already remarkable properties.
What does Sacred Clay taste like?

Sacred Clay has a very strong, puckering mineral taste typical of an electrolyte-rich clay.

The Sacred Clay is about 10% electrolytes, which I believe accounts for its puckering pungency. Being abundant in available ions, it makes for a powerful detoxifying clay bath or poultice, with strong antioxidant capability, and the most potent detoxifying clay I am aware of.

What forms does the clay come in?
At this point, the Sacred Clay comes only in a dry powder, not a damp mix. The clay powder and the clay in the capsules are the exact same clay.
How does Sacred Clay both nourish the body and pull out heavy metals at the same time?
The clay will naturally remove heavy metals as it adds beneficial minerals back into the body as nourishment due to the process of compounding. Heavy metals are converted into silicates and other harmless, or even biologically beneficial compounds when clay is added to the diet.
How do I use clay as a mouthwash for healthy teeth and gums?

THE 5 MINUTE CLAY SWISH (see Advisories below)
This is one of the best remedies for the mouth, gums, and teeth that we know of. This method also draws toxins from deep within body organs by pulling them up through the nervous system channels that connect the various body organs of the body to the teeth. It is similar to the Ayurvedic Oil-Pulling method, yet with a more powerful pulling agent - the Sacred Clay. One drawback for some, but not all, has to do with the potential temporary discoloration of some areas of the teeth resulting from the clay bonding solidly to toxic buildup on certain spots of the teeth, particularly if your teeth may be somewhat porous from past deterioration or receding gums. So far, only time and a dental cleaning or polishing work to remove this discoloration. (See advisory below). We are working on a White Pyro product as a solution but it is not yet fully explored. If your teeth are subject to discoloration, try using sesame oil or olive oil instead of clay for the swish.

For now, to explore the benefits of the 5-minute swish, add 1/2 teaspoon of Sacred Clay to 1 tablespoon of water. Add 5-10 drops or more of the Black Manna (optional). Add a pinch of high-quality sea salt or the sole brine (i.e. Himalayan Salt, Celtic Salt, or Real Salt), according to taste. Swish entire contents in the mouth for 5 minutes. (Serves as an excellent pastime while in the shower each day). Spit out residue. The clay will have absorbed toxins, dissolved heavy metals, and bacteria. Rinse mouth thoroughly and brush the teeth with a natural toothpaste to remove any remaining residue.

This 5 Minute Swish can be repeated every day, or every morning and night. A therapeutic treatment using this method involves performing the 5 Minute Swish five or more times in a row for a rapid detox of chemicals, viruses, parasites, heavy metals and other toxins. Brushing the teeth need only be performed at the conclusion of the last Swish.

Be advised: Typical commercial kinds of toothpaste carry Poison Control Warnings on the tube because the chalk used in the paste is actually a toxic aluminum byproduct of the chemical industry. It is placed into toothpaste so the chemical industry does not have to go about the expensive process of disposing of it as a hazardous material. Check your toothpaste labels and switch to a natural toothpaste if you find a Poison Control Warning on it.

No claims are made with regard to the improvements that are possible, yet many have reported how much they like using the clay in this manner in spite of its natural pucker factor and strong taste, (the clay has some astringent properties). If the taste of the clay is too strong for you, simply dilute it more with saltwater. Your personal experiences are welcome.

Be advised: For some, but not all, Sacred Clay will cause a temporary darkening of the teeth in the area of receding gums, joints between teeth and existing pits. A diet of black tea, green tea and coffee may result in tannin buildup on the surface of the teeth which, along with normal toxin and plaque buildup, is mostly likely what the clay is bonded to. The cause of the darkening is most likely due to the porous nature of those areas of the teeth, or to the stronger presence of tannins or toxins that collect there. The clay bonds inseparably to the toxin leaving a stain. The only sure remedy for darkened spots on the teeth is a polishing or cleaning by the dentist. So far nothing else has worked.

We are currently investigating a white Sacred Clay version that does not stain the teeth, and if successful we will provide this product to the public for Mouth Swishes and teeth cleaning.

Will the clay cause my fillings or crowns to deteriorate or fall out? No, the clay removes heavy metals that are in solution, (that are free in the saliva), that have attached themselves to your teeth or absorbed into the membranes of the mouth and gums. It will not deteriorate large pieces of metal (although it may remove the dull oxidized layers of the metal making it shinier). Amalgam fillings are much more affected by Electromagnetic Frequencies (EMF's). EMF's are known to cause metal fillings to deteriorate more rapidly resulting in increased levels of heavy metal toxicity. (All the more reason to be using the clay.)

Be advised: EMF fields are generated from cell phones, wireless computer technology, cell phone towers, CRT TV's and computer monitors (the fat ones), cordless telephones, microwave ovens, high tension wires, etc. With the increase of wireless internet and cell phone usage and the increasing number of cell phone towers being installed without regard for human health, EMF hazards have multiplied many times over in the last 12 months alone. These are some of the more likely suspected causes of rapid deterioration of fillings in the mouth being reported now in increasing numbers (by non-clay users as well).

How do I use sacred clay as a facial?

The preparation and usage are the same as a poultice, except that you should spritz occasionally with water to keep moist for as long as desired. Even a 20-minute facial will soften the skin and reduce redness, pimples and blackheads. Mix enough clay with salt and water to cover the area being treated with 1/4 to 3/4 inch of clay (more on areas of special interest). Wrap the area with a damp gauze or old towel (do not use good towels or material) then wrap that with Saran Wrap or plastic to keep the moisture in. Caution: It has been observed that towels in contact with wet clay may get discolored orangish brown. Even drying off when some clay may remain on the body has discolored some towels. Nothing seems to work to get out these stains (or lack of dye if absorption is the reason). Therefore it is advisable to use old towels, unneeded cloth or white throwaway rolls of gauze.

Leave the poultice on for as long as it is still wet, or as long as you can, even overnight, and/or throughout the day, for best results. Repeat if necessary to further the healing along. The longer the clay remains on and damp, the better and faster it works. Drying is not necessary to pull toxins. It is acceptable to leave the clay on the body for as long as 12 -24 hours if this were practical. We know of some who have left the clay on small spots of the body under a bandage for as long as two weeks with excellent results.

Do heavy metals exist in Sacred Clay?
The forms and quantity of minerals in this clay are not classified as "heavy metals". The forms they exist in are not only non-toxic to the human body and to soils, they are exceptionally beneficial to both.
Can I use sacred clay as a deodorant?
Leaving Sacred Clay residues on the body for several hours or a day after a bath or shower before thoroughly rinsing it off is actually beneficial, with the exception of the towel effect mentioned in an earlier FAQ. In fact, a very slight amount of dry clay or liquid solution of the clay rubbed under the armpits helps reduce bacterial growth and body odor.
How do I use sacred clay to treat drinking water and improve body hydration?

Adding 1/8th teaspoon of Sacred Clay to a cup or a gallon of water will absorb toxins, chemicals, and bacteria. Sacred Clay reduces the surface tension of water making it more hydrating to the body. Adding 5-10 drops of Ormalite Water to a cup or gallon of water will restructure the water molecules to something similar to deep underground aquifer water.

The consumption of 1-2 quarts per day of slightly salted water (Himalayan Salt or high-quality sea salt) with 1/4 to 1 teaspoon of sea salt sole (see above) per quart, does wonders for keeping the body properly hydrated. Adding 5-10 drops (or your daily dose) of Ormalite Water to the water helps to restructure the water, thereby enhancing the water's nourishing and tonifying properties. Overall body health will steadily improve with this simple mineral rich, hydrating procedure and will greatly complement any other healing program. These three methods together will also provide essential trace minerals and infuse the water with a higher frequency.

Will sacred clay eliminate wrinkles?
We have observed a softening and tightening of the skin and a slight smoothing of some wrinkles, but not all. Adding coconut oil and other oils to the clay and/or skin gives the appearance of wrinkle reduction due to the temporary saturation of the skin with the oil. Wrinkles are largely due to skin dehydration and hormonal imbalances in the body, originating from exhaustion of the kidney and adrenals. The formation of orthosilicic acids along with the minerals in the Sacred Clay may help restore power to the kidney and adrenal glands and may slow down wrinkle development, but we do not claim it to be a wrinkle eliminator.
How do I use sacred clay as a shampoo?

Rubbing a small handful of Sacred Clay into the hair and leaving it there for a minute or more (as long as you wish), will clean and nourish the hair, detoxify the scalp and reduce unfriendly microorganisms. It leaves the hair soft and manageable. No shampoo needed. A conditioner is optional.

Caution: All chemicals in the hair will be absorbed by the clay. This includes hair colorings. Test a small area for a prolonged period of time to see if the clay will change the color of your hair, then use at your own discretion and risk. The results are unknown at this time what changes may occur.

There have been no studies done to determine what improvements to the hair and scalp may take place if the Sacred Clay is used in this manner. Common sense says the silica in the clay and the hair are a good match for each other. If you experience improvements and want to share it with us (or with the world) feel free to call or email us with your story.

What is Amorphous Silica?
Sacred clay is known to contain approximately 60% silica of which approximately 85% is a non-crystalline, round amorphous silica molecule. Amorphous means the silica molecules "hold no structured shape" (as opposed to a solid crystalline matrix like sand or quartz). This amorphous construction gives the clay particles an exceptional amount of free surface area to attract and hold toxic compounds, and offer its nutrients to the soil and plants.
How can Sacred clay be used for radiation poisoning?
A series of Sacred clay baths in combination with clay slurries or body wraps and the internal consumption of clay is a comprehensive recipe for radiation Detox. It is very useful and it is used extensively for the removal of radiation poisoning from the body.
How do I use sacred clay as a toothpaste?

The Sacred Clay provides exceptional cleaning power when used as a toothpaste although, by itself, it is not an easy product to brush with, from the standpoint of taste and ease of use. The clay is pungent and gritty. It does not suds or foam like normal toothpaste, so it may take some getting used to. It can, however, be added to natural toothpaste to improve its cleaning power. You may also make your own toothpaste by adding sea salt, essential oils and other oils to the clay. If brushing with the clay alone is too uncomfortable, a mouth swish followed by brushing with a natural toothpaste while leaving some clay residues in the mouth, or sprinkled on the toothbrush, may work just as well.

The astringent quality of the clay causes a bit of a pucker when used, yet most people get used to it or enjoy it because of what it feels like afterward. The clay absorbs toxins, mercury and other heavy metals, viruses, bacteria and parasites in the mouth. The rich silica and mineral content in the clay nourish both teeth and gums, improving the general health of each.

Once again, for some, but not all, brushing with Sacred Clay will cause a temporary darkening of the teeth in the areas of receding gums, joints between teeth and existing pits for reasons mentioned above. The only sure remedy for darkened spots on the teeth is a polishing or cleaning by the dentist.

We are currently investigating a white Sacred Clay version that does not stain the teeth, and if successful we will provide this product to the public for Mouth Swishes and teeth cleaning. If you are one whose teeth darkens with brushing or Mouth Swishes it is best to discontinue those practices and apply external poultices on the cheeks and neck instead to remove toxins. The clay is powerful enough to pull toxins from the gums directly through the cheek and neck tissues.

No claims are made with regard to the improvements that are possible, yet many have reported how much they like using the clay in this manner. Your personal experiences in this area are also welcome.

Will the clay cause my fillings or crowns to deteriorate or fall out?
No, Sacred Clay removes heavy metals that are in solution, (that are free in the saliva), that have attached themselves to your teeth or absorbed into the membranes of the mouth and gums.
How do I use sacred clay as a foot poultice?
Drawing from a popular European practice, an All Night Foot Poultice can serve as an excellent accelerator to any detox/rejuvenation program. Simply mix 1 pound of Sacred Clay and one Sacred Bath packet (or 1/3 cup of the bulk Sacred Bath powder). If Sacred Bath is not available, substitute water with 1/2 cup Sole (or add 1-2 tablespoons of dry sea salt or Himalayan Salt to the water). Add 1/2 cup of water, Sole or salt/water mixture, and mix to a thick paste. Spread the mixture over both feet, top and bottom, approx 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Slip a grocery bag or zip lock bag, over each foot, (or wrap in saran wrap) to hold moisture in. Put socks on to hold it all together and go to bed. The next morning, unwrap in the tub or shower and rinse off. Enjoy the lighter, zestier feeling, increasing with each All Night Foot Poultice. Excellent for reducing excess swelling.
What are van der Waals Bonds in Sacred Clay?
Sacred Clay is known to possess a weak van der Waals bond at the molecular level giving it the property of dispersing easily in water. This property is highly desirable for a clay since it is this property that keeps the clay from clumping and clinging to the skin typical of bentonite and certain other clays.
How is the clay used for broken bones and internal pains?
It is very useful in the case of broken bones and internal pains in our bodies due to over working. Apply Sacred Clay on the broken bones or parts of the bodies. It will start its actions and you can sleep better and your pain will be healed soon.
Are there other anecdotal uses for Sacred Clay?
Sacred Clay is useful for fungal overgrowth, food poisoning, poison oak, skin complaints, nausea, stomach pain, inch reduction/clay body wrap, rashes, bites & burns, flesh wounds and bruises, cartilage/ligament and muscle damage, broken bones, wrist pain, detoxification of internal organs, chronic headaches, skin inflammation & zits, clay bath/detox, softer skin, stronger hair & nails, drying up cold sores, and many other areas of benefit.
What should you do if your skin gets too dry from the use of the clay?
If an area of skin gets too dry from an application of the Sacred Clay, the application of Organic Sesame or Organic Coconut Oil works wonders to further soften the skin. Dry skin is a sign of toxins in the tissues. As a magnet for toxins, some skin conditions may temporarily get worse before getting better. With repeated use of the clay on the skin, toxins will eventually be drawn out sufficiently for the skin to return to normal hydration levels and the oils may then no longer be necessary.
How does clay action work for rashes, bites and burns?
It is very useful. Use a thick mix of Sacred Clay and water. Cover affected area about 1/8 to 1/4" thick. Leave on until dry. Reapply if needed to further the healing. For severe burns, see your physician. Most major burn centers have long used clay as a part of their treatment. Sacred Clay helps prevent infections from setting in while providing the amorphous silica required for rapid skin regeneration.
Should Sacred Clay be taken with other Pharmaceutical Drugs?

Due to the powerful drawing action of Sacred Clay, it is best not taken internally within 3 hours before or after drug intake if those drugs are required for hormonal or physiological support.

If you are on antidepressant drugs or other drugs that require residual amounts in your system to be effective, it is better to not take the clay at all internally. The clay will tend to absorb the residual amounts of the drug in your system and could result in withdrawal reactions from the drugs.

Does wet clay work better?
As long as the Sacred Clay stays wet it continues its drawing action. It is not necessary to wait for the clay to dry to pull of toxins out of the skin. Toxins are pulled out electro-magnetically. This event happens quickly with toxins close to the skin and continues on with more lengthy exposure as the blood brings more toxins to the surface.
How are ulcers caused and how can the use of clay prevent them?
Ulcers are caused by poorly digesting food fermenting in the stomach or intestines. Proper digestive power of the stomach is generally enhanced, and fermenting bacteria reduced, with even a teaspoonful of Sacred Clay in water.
What is the importance of minerals in Sacred Clay?
The role of minerals and trace minerals in developing and maintaining health is becoming a widely studied science today. They are now recognized as essential to the performance of thousands of chemical, hormonal and enzymatic processes in the body. 99% of Americans today are deficient in most of the minerals required to maintain ideal states of health. This depletion is largely due to the depleted condition of America's soils caused by over-farming. These missing minerals are amply supplied by Sacred Clay.
What are some personal uses for Sacred Clay?

Sacred Clay has a wide application of therapeutic uses both internally and externally:

Detoxification of heavy metals, chemicals, petroleum products, & radiation.

Removes chlorine and other harmful chemicals, viruses, bacteria, giardia, etc. from your drinking and bathing water.

Enhances the properties of water for personal consumption by increasing the vibrational quality of the water. Reduces the surface tension of water making water wetter (more hydrating).

Health spas - facials, clay wraps & clay baths.

An excellent complement to sweat therapy.

First Aid and emergency care - food poisoning, poison oak, burns, brown recluse and other spider bites, ant and mosquito bites, ulcerous skin conditions, boils, rashes, dry scales, painful dry rashes, bacterial infections, viral conditions, and inflammations.

Enhances the properties of water for personal consumption by increasing the vibrational quality of the water.

Nutritional/trace mineral & monatomic source of nutrients. Here's an excellent article published in "California Wild - The Magazine of the California Academy of Sciences?" on the subject of the historical use of clay for nutritional and therapeutic uses: Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud? by Suzzane Ubick.

Anti-aging support.

What is Sacred Clay composed of?
Sacred Clay is rich in electrolytes silica and minerals providing it with a strong magnetic attraction for the drawing out of heavy metals, chemicals, petroleum products and radiation.
How do I use Sacred Clay in a foot bath?

Add 1-2 tablespoons of the Sacred Clay and 1-2 teaspoons of quality sea salt to a gallon or so of warm water. Soak the feet for as long as desired. Repeat as often in a day as desired as well.

Be advised: While one may consider foot baths to be a lighter form of detox than clay baths or body wraps, toxins having to travel from other parts of the body and down through the legs to get to the feet where the pull is coming from, can build up in energetically blocked areas of joints or bone or muscle, or just may not get to the feet before the foot bath is terminated. The toxins may be left in the tissues and the net result can be more discomfort after the foot bath than before. The Sacred Clay and the salt are a powerful combination capable of pulling toxins from deep within the body. Because a bath provides this powerful draw to take place over most of the body surface at once time, rather than at just the feet, more toxins are removed more quickly, and therefore, sooner cease to be a bother.

While clay baths are a more effective detox approach than foot baths, there are times when a foot bath will provide extra concentrated attention on the feet themselves producing remarkable results.

If you are doing electric foot baths, try adding a teaspoon to a tablespoon of Sacred Clay to the bath water and salt solution. The reports from personal experience and from others are that the clay further empowers the detoxification process. Be sure to add the clay first since less salt will be required to achieve the ideal voltage in the water. This is due to the naturally high electrolyte content of Sacred clay.

Will sacred clay have any effect on my plumbing?
There is no concern about the clay going down the drain (unless you are on a septic system without a separate gray line). It falls apart easily in water and will not clump or swell like some other clays. (do not let a bentonite or other swelling clays go down your drains. The swelling, clumping action of these clays may clog your drain). Sacred Clay will not clog your drain and will even help clean up the city's toxic waste runoff or water recycling centers.
How do I use sacred clay as a poultice?

Mix enough Sacred Clay with salt and water to cover the area being treated with 1/4 to 3/4 inch of clay (more on areas of special interest).

How was Sacred Clay formed?
Sacred Clay was created millions of years ago, when a huge cataclysmic event in North America, near an area that is now known as Crater Lake, Oregon, caused a thermal vent in the earth's crust to open allowing mineral rich magma from deep within the earth to rise to the surface.
What is the structure of Sacred Clay?
"In Sacred Clay, two silicate layers are sandwiched in between the so called gibbsite layer. Gibbsite, AL(OH)3, is its own mineral and is composed of octahedrally coordinated aluminum surrounded by six hydroxides. The gibbsite layer (G) in Sacred Clay is identical to gibbsite's structure except that four of the hydroxides are replaced by four oxygens from the silicate layers (S). The overall structure of Sacred Clay can be imagined as stacked S-G-S sandwiches. The bonding between these sandwiches is nearly nonexistent and gives rise to Sacred Clay's softness and perfect cleavage."
What is Sacred clay?
Sacred clay is a natural product, uncontaminated by man or his environment. Although there are many different types and classes of clays throughout the world, all of which provide great benefit to the health, there are a few characteristics about Sacred Clay that are different and may explain the exceptional results experienced when using the Sacred Clay in baths, poultices, body wraps and internally. The power of this clay to detoxify, nourish and rejuvenate the body are truly remarkable.
Mineral Manna
What is Mineral Manna?
Mineral Manna is a potent blend of some of Nature's most remarkable mineral resources including Sacred Clay, Ancient Plant Minerals, Himalayan Salt, Humic/Fulvic Substance and Ormalite. A potent, tingling, heart-opening experience! Mineral Manna is abundant with angstrom elements, trace minerals and amorphous silica. It is assembled with a proprietary method that ensures extreme bioavailability of the mineral nutrients.
Does Mineral Manna help with detoxification?
Mineral Manna is an excellent detoxifier of chemical pollutants, radiation, and heavy metals. Most people experience detox symptoms for the first 3-14 days of consuming a normal dose on Mineral Manna (2-3 teaspoons of the powder in 32 ounces of water consumed over the course of the day, or 1 tsp. in 8 oz. of water 2-3 times per day). Generally these symptoms are appreciated since they confirm that "something is happening." But if the reactions are too uncomfortable, simply reduce to 1/2-1/3 the dose for awhile until symptoms subside, then continue to increase gradually. When the first sign of a detoxification reaction occurs, it is advisable to take a Clay Bath as soon as possible. This is the fastest way to speed the detox process and reduce symptoms. If a bathtub is not available to you, a Shower Slurry is an effective option (rubbing Sacred Clay all over then waiting a minute or more before rinsing off).
What are the beneficial effects of Mineral Manna?
Mineral Manna produces a remarkable sense of well-being, reduces stress, builds the meridian/chi flow around the body, balances hormones, moods and energy levels, improves athletic performance, engenders a more relaxed, centered and open-hearted space, increases vitality, and improves the depth & quality of sleep. Mineral Manna is an excellent detoxifier of chemical pollutants, radiation, and heavy metals. Taken just before bed it fosters deep, restful sleep. Serves as an excellent enhancement to workouts, yoga, martial arts, and chi gong. Mineral Manna deepens prayer and meditation, and enhances social relaxation. Mineral Manna works gradually over time to restore optimal health, improve energy, and develop spiritual attunement. In combination with the Sacred Clay Baths or Shower Slurries or Nighttime Foot Poultices for detoxification, and the Earth & Sea Greens with SBO's & Fiber for super nourishment, the beneficial effects of Mineral Manna are magnified many fold.
Ancient Mineral Blend
What is Ancient Mineral Blend?
Ancient Mineral Blend is a mineral combination based on whole earthen resources (Ancient Plant Minerals and a very small amount of natural Humic/Fulvic Substance), designed more for nourishing the body in order to build strength prior to stronger detoxification.
Ormalite
What is Ormalite?
Ormalite is an unaltered clay source containing naturally occurring angstrom elements (M-state, ormus). It comes from Southern Oregon and was originally dubbed Black Clay. Ormalite improves hormone balance, increases meridian (chi) flow, increases intuitive insights, improves sleep, reduces stress, and assists in the manifestation of dreams and desires by magnifying intention.
In what way is Ormalite Clay effective for our bodies?
Ormalite Clay provides nourishment for the DNA, cells, brain, nerves and hormonal system. It provides the body with the very nutrients most capable of building youth and vitality - monatomic elements.
What are the Effects of Greater Amounts of Ormalite
Based on the relaxing, stress-reducing effect Ormalite may have, going beyond 2 doses per day may cause a more than usual relaxation, meditative state with a reduced interest in "getting things done". Increases body meridian flow (chi). Vary dosage according to preference. Excellent for meditation, stress reduction, chi gong, the pursuit of your life purpose, and expressions of creativity.
What are the Energetic Effects of Ormalite & Sacred Clay?

As far as the energy of the Ormalite goes, the only thing I have to compare with are my personal experiences and the voices of numerous intuitions which have indicated that the Sacred Clay has a very strong energetic field, one of the strongest of any nutritional product they have tested, and that the energy field of Ormalite is about 4 times greater than that of the Sacred Clay. One intuitive expressed that her pendulum nearly flew out of her hand when testing the two clays. You will have to determine for yourself how it compares to products you have tried.

Clairvoyant intuitive people say that they see all of the energy centers opening up at once when Ormalite is taken. The left and right brain seem to integrate and communicate with each other better, the chi flow is greatly enhanced, and the concentration of energy goes to the heart. Colors look brighter, nature looks more alive, hyperactive energy calms down, low energy perks up, moods improve and so does sleep (especially if taken just before bed). Everything tends to move toward balance and well-being, typical of a heart-centered effect.

Kinesiologists regularly discover strong positives when testing for the appropriateness of our Sacred Clay and Mineral Manna products for their clients.

What are M-state elements?
The terms "M-state elements" is actually a modern scientific coinage designed to classify a group of single and/or double atom configurations of the basic Periodic Chart of Transition Group Elements. The term "monoatomic" or "monatomic" is a reference to an element in its single atom, unbonded state. An element in the monoatomic state has unique and consistent behavior patterns characteristic of its true elemental, or angstrom form. "What's so special about these (ORMUS or M-state) minerals? In their altered atomic configuration, these minerals exhibit quantum physical behaviors such as superconductivity, superfluidity, magnetic levitation and Josephson tunneling. And in their ..... powder forms, they can be digested by a human body. So the idea -- in terms of external alchemy -- is that ingesting these substances may support an emergence or increase in these quantum qualities of superconductivity, superfluidity, etc. within the bodymind of the practitioner."
What are angstrom minerals?
Angstrom minerals are the smallest version possible of an element on the Periodic Table. Angstrom minerals are smaller than colloidal and smaller than ionic minerals. They are elements such as gold, silver, copper, platinum, iridium, cobalt, etc. in single or double atom configurations. They are the most bio-available of all the minerals and produce the most potent influences on the human physiology.
What does Ormalite in water taste like?
As far as taste goes, the Ormalite diluted in water is almost tasteless. This feature works well for kids who might be more particular to taste. It goes down so smoothly that it is easy to get more than you may need at one time. The Ormalite dry powder, on the other hand, if taken undiluted, has a stronger taste typical of most clays.
