Can I take the Sacred Clay if I am on pharmaceutical drugs?

If you are on pharmaceutical drugs we do not advise taking the Sacred Clay powder or capsules internally. The Sacred Clay is a powerful detoxifier. Watch for the slightest adverse effect, even when taking clay baths or foot baths. The clay will pull all chemicals, heavy metals, radiation, petroleum complexes, and other poisons from the body (the prime ingredients of pharmaceutical drugs).

Since most drugs imbalance the body in their effort to suppress a symptom, the body answers this pressure with a counterbalancing response in an effort to maintain balance or equilibrium. When the clay removes the drugs, the body's counterbalancing response can cause a worsening of the symptoms that the drug was designed to suppress. For example, one on high blood pressure drugs may experience a skyrocketing of their blood pressure; one on antidepressants may experience deeper depressions, even suicidal tendencies - all of this due to the absence of the drug, having left the system before the body could make the adjustment back to normal on its own. It works similar to letting the pressure off of a compressed spring causing it to jump like a Jack-in-the-Box.

It is generally not advised to withdraw from addictive drugs too fast (no faster than 10% per week, or longer if you have been on the drug for years), due to the potentially severe withdrawal reactions that may occur. Get competent professional supervision or advice in all instances. One worthy reference book on the subject is "Your Drug May Be Your Problem: How and Why to Stop Taking Psychiatric Medications" by Peter R. Breggin and David Cohen.
