Since basic monthly overhead is the line-in-the-sand for most businesses' profitability, the typical response from a corporate point of view is to simply reduce the staff and automate.
Doing so places customers at the mercy of electronic answers, wasted time battling with AI bots trying to get a simple common sense response to basic questions, etc., a loss of personal attention plus information overwhelm, and a new era of technological learning curve requirements.
