Why Neither a Specific Diet, nor Fasting, nor Special Health Supplements Are a Requirement for High Levels of Health

August 22, 2026 5 min read

Quite frankly, there is something you need first for a quality health protocol to even work!

Here's what it is...

I’d like to share a real life example of what is the actual true cause of high levels of health — and it is not what most people think it might be — because it’s not fasting, it’s not a particular diet, and it’s not herbs, clay, or health supplements.

In fact, it has nothing to do with the physical aspects of human life. Not where you live, where you work, your ancestry, your genes, your religious or gender preference, how you dress, how often or how long you pray or meditate...

While each one of these, and any number of other material variables, may influence your health, they are never the true cause of how healthy or unhealthy you actually are today.

Here’s proof

A good friend of mine once worked in the medical office of one of the most well known figures in natural health circles. His purpose was doing live blood analysis for the many clients who were also having blood panels done as part of their health monitoring procedures.

An older couple came in for an analysis, with grandkids in tow. The personality differences between the two elders were noticeable — but the live blood evidence was strikingly revealing of a deeply embedded truth about the true secret to overall health!

Grandparents with grandkids

They shared their diets — with hers being strictly natural, and carefully, even obsessively monitored — his was more average American with a lot more latitude, simply eating what he felt like in the moment.

Her personality was carefully focused on details and “getting it right”, with definite opinions on how things should be — while his was more serene, taking all things in stride with a relaxed, even joyful smile.

He loved to laugh, and it was obvious that he loved his wife and grandkids enormously!

A live blood analysis is a snapshot of the moment, yet it can also speak, in part, to one’s biological and dietary history.

Which of the two blood samples would you think revealed the healthier physical state? The one with the healthier diet with studious attention to living in the healthiest way possible — or the one who ate more freely, but also loved life and others abundantly?

Live, Love, Laugh

If you guessed the one that loved to laugh and loved abundantly, then you would be right.

However, in this instance, the contrast in the two blood samples was so dramatically different, that the comparison between the two was shocking!

Hers happened to reveal some more serious areas of health concern, while his was surprisingly, the first time the analyst had ever seen an absolutely perfect blood specimen, among the numerous hundreds of samples he had seen beneath the microscope.

Was it because he had grandchildren on his knees that brought him immense joy, and this blood sample reflected a momentary state of happiness? Or was it because of a life approach that took everything in stride, leaving stress far behind naturally?

In comparison, you could say her life approach was more fretful, worrisome, and held more stress inside trying to “get it all right” — whereas his life approach was more relaxed and accepting, joyfully loving each moment, finding humor in things often, and focused on displaying his love for others naturally.

This comparative example points to one thing worth noting with certainty — a happier, less stressful approach to life tends to improve one’s inner state of physical health.

The more positive and relaxed we choose to be, the greater likelihood of fostering greater levels of physical health.

Stones engraved with Love and Gratitude

At the core, it’s a life philosophy and a welcoming acceptance of life that fosters an inner state of peace, joy, gratitude, and unconditional love, that appear to be the ultimate secrets to greater states of physical health.

It’s derived, in part, from the ability to embrace physical circumstances of every kind equally, whether abundant or limited, painful or free, true or untrue, happy or sad — yet recognize the ultimate good, the gift, in every bit of it.

It’s about what this choice of approach to life — just as it is — does to both the energetic and the metabolic functions of the human body.

Here’s an exercise to prove this point

For the next 60 seconds — and for no specific reason at all — focus on the most peaceful, loving inner experience you can possibly imagine.

Child in a quiet meditative pose

Set aside all of the worries and cares of the mundane world for just 60 seconds. Smile, then take a few deep breaths with eyes closed, and let go of stress and tension as you sense the expansion of your heart energy, allowing you to enter into the most peaceful, relaxed state you can imagine.

Notice the shift inside, more relaxed, more peaceful, a bit happier.

From this simple one minute exercise, it can be seen that the physical body is merely a reflection of one’s inner state of being.

It reflects back to us how we are choosing to approach our life experiences — emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and perceptually (one’s chosen interpretation, or definition, of the nature of life, experiences, self, and others, etc. — meaning, beliefs, attitudes, expectations, and all that comes with one’s adopted ideals and aspirations.)

The choices we make, the life we live, and how we live it, are all born from these inner states of being — which are also choices (more wisely made as we learn to discern truth from fiction).

Thoughts have Power engraved into a rock

This includes how we choose to dress and care for our body, our home, our occupation, the friends and relationships we select, the paths we take in life — and what we choose to learn from these experiences — or not.

The truth is, your level of optimism or pessimism, worry, stress, or motivation to follow your dreams and aspirations, are also affected by the nourishment that you choose, a supplement protocol selected, and whether it raises or lowers your overall sense of well-being.

Yet, all of the above are choices — born from within.

Each one’s destiny is more within their own hands than many may realize!

This is why, of the 7 Primary Causes of Physical Discomfort and 7 Basic Solutions, it all begins with Self-Image.

In the next article I’m going to share with you how to improve your self-image, heal any trauma, reduce anxiety, manifest more of your dreams and desires, and begin to build an inner foundation for the levels of health and vitality you desire most — within a matter of minutes.

Stay tuned!
