Raw Milk Whey

  • 1 quart of raw milk from a pastured cow or goat (no hormones, antibiotics or grains)

Place milk in a glass jar, cover with a lid. Leave it on the counter until the whey separates from the curds. Strain through a tight weave cloth (I use an old nylon curtain) or several layers of cheesecloth. Drink the whey for added probiotics or use to ferment food.
