Foods that must be avoided during a cleanse since they weaken the effectiveness of your immune system and interfere with detoxification:
Sugar concentrates like granulated sugars & artificial sweeteners (opt for Licorice Root Powder or Stevia Green Leaf Powder when appropriate, or local raw honey when fats are not being consumed). Sweeten with fruit when practical.
Acidifying foods and drinks (colas, coffee, bottled fruit juices ─ except unsweetened cranberry).
deep fried foods (chips, fries, etc.)
constipating foods (nuts & nut butters, meat, cheese, sugar, bananas, etc.).
A Note Regarding Fats & Pathogen Overgrowth:
Oils & fats thicken and acidify the blood (unless bile adequately pre-emulsifies the lipids), reducing insulin's ability to store the sugars (that is why one should not combine any carbohydrate with an oil or fat, as raising glycemic levels feeds yeast, viral, and bacterial infections resulting in numerous chronic conditions).
Without proper insulin action on the sugars/starches blood sugar levels climb, resulting in the need for the body to send the yeast out after the sugar to eat it back down to a safe level.
Yeasts, viruses, and bacteria feed on heavy metals, undigested foods, and on all forms of carbohydrates and sugars when consumed in excess or when fats interfere with sugar metabolism.
Not feeding the pathogens, while focusing on detoxifying and nourishing the body is essential to reducing pathogen overgrowth.
When you get cravings, consume a tablespoon of Vital Cleanse & Nutrify, or Earth & Sea Greens, or 4-8 caps of Sea Vegetable Blend and 4 caps of BloodSugar Balance to reduce the sugar/munchies/bread cravings, etc.
Pay Attention to The Following Food Combining Rules to Experience Maximum Progress Toward Your Desired Level of Health
Do not combine a sweet, a fruit, a grain or a starch (which convert to sugar) with an oil, a nut, a fat, or a protein (which can interfere with sugar metabolism, thus promoting a viral/bacterial overgrowth condition).
On the left of this equation you have things that break down into sugar. On the right you have things that commonly contain fats or oils.
Be very moderate with your use of liquid oils, including olive oil. These are oil concentrates.
Coconut oil is one exception, which is an oil that is somewhat predigested, yet excesses of even coconut oil will thicken the blood and slow circulation, thus promoting cold extremities.
Get your fats from whole foods, like avocados, olives, flax seed, chia seed, sesame seed, etc. (but not nuts or nut butters, as nuts feed the herpes/shingles viruses more profoundly than other fatty foods).
